How often should you really get a trim?
Short styles, long layers or growing it out — here's how many weeks you can stretch between cuts.

Hair grows about 1 cm a month, but how often you need a trim depends on your style.
Short cuts and fades
Every 3–4 weeks keeps the shape sharp around the ears and neck.
Medium and layered styles
Every 6–8 weeks stops layers from losing their movement.
Growing it out
Every 10–12 weeks. A small trim removes split ends before they travel up the hair, so you keep more length in the end.
Not sure what suits you? Your stylist can plan the next few cuts with you.
